These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of all training services offered by Hunter Canine, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By enrolling in any of our training programs, including but not limited to Board & Train, Day Camp, or Private Lessons, you (“you” or “Owner”) acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
1. Scope of Services
Hunter Canine, LLC offers personalized and structured training programs designed to meet the individual needs of each dog and owner. Training services include:
- Board & Train programs
- Day Camp training sessions
- Private lessons
While we are committed to providing effective and compassionate training, outcomes will vary depending on the individual dog’s temperament, health, environment, genetics, and consistency in training reinforcement at home. We do not guarantee specific results.
2. Health and Eligibility Requirements
To ensure the safety of all dogs in our care, the following requirements must be met:
- Dogs must be healthy and free from contagious illnesses.
- The following vaccinations must be current and uploaded to the client portal at least 14 days prior to the program start:
- Bordetella
- Rabies
- DHPP
- Leptospirosis
- Negative fecal test
- Lyme (optional)
- Dogs must be on a monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention regimen.
- Dogs in Day Camp must be at least 6 months old or fully potty and crate trained.
- Board & Train dogs must be crate trained; dogs with a known bite history must be muzzle conditioned prior to arrival.
- Dogs exhibiting signs of aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, or resource guarding may be denied enrollment or dismissed from the program for safety reasons.
3. Scheduling and Attendance
We ask that all sessions be scheduled in advance:
- Board & Train: Requires a $500 deposit to reserve a space. Full payment is due no later than 14 days prior to drop-off.
- Private Lessons & Day Camp: Must be paid in full on or before the first scheduled session.
Cancellations:
- Board & Train: Cancellations must be made no less than 30 days in advance.
- Private Lessons and Day Camp: Require at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the session fee.
Late Policy for Day Camp:
- Drop-off: 7:30am – 9:00am
- Pick-up: 4:30pm – 6:00pm
A $60 late fee applies to drop-offs or pickups outside of these hours.
4. Payment Terms
- Accepted payment methods include cash, check, and Afterpay.
- A 6% processing fee will apply to all Afterpay transactions.
- Travel fees are applicable for services rendered outside standard service areas:
- $40 per 30 minutes of travel for private lessons
- $150 in the event of emergency transportation from Day Camp
All fees must be paid in full according to the agreed schedule. Training equipment valued over $25 is not included unless otherwise stated.
5. Owner Responsibilities
As a client of Hunter Canine, LLC, you agree to:
- Follow all training recommendations and instructions provided by our trainers.
- Actively participate in the training process at home to reinforce your dog’s progress.
- Provide accurate behavioral history and disclose any known medical or temperament concerns.
- Maintain supervision and control over your dog at all times during public sessions or upon completion of a program.
- Understand that behavioral improvement depends greatly on owner follow-through.
Failure to adhere to trainer guidance may limit training effectiveness.
6. Communication and Updates
- Trainers are available between 9:00am and 9:00pm for communication during program dates.
- Updates, including photos or videos, will be provided as appropriate. Our trainers prioritize safety and may not always be able to film sessions.
7. Media Release
By participating in our programs, you grant Hunter Canine, LLC permission to use your dog’s name, likeness, photographs, and video content for training documentation, social media, and marketing purposes. No additional compensation will be provided.
8. Safety, Supervision & Dismissal
Hunter Canine, LLC reserves the right to remove any dog from a program for the safety and well-being of the dog, other dogs, staff, or the general public. Grounds for dismissal include, but are not limited to:
- Aggressive or unsafe behavior
- Incomplete or inaccurate behavioral disclosure
- Health concerns requiring veterinary clearance
- Repeated late pickups
- Disruptive behavior (e.g., excessive barking, failure to settle)
- Owner conduct that is verbally abusive or disrespectful to staff
9. Limitation of Liability
Hunter Canine, LLC will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and care of your dog. However:
- We are not liable for injuries, illnesses, property damage, or other incidents that may occur during or after participation in our programs.
- You assume full responsibility for any veterinary care your dog may require, including emergency treatment.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hunter Canine, LLC and its staff from all claims, liabilities, damages, and legal expenses arising from your dog’s participation in our services.
10. No Guarantee of Results
Training is a collaborative process. While we use proven methods and personalized strategies, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, especially in cases involving aggression, anxiety, or reactivity. Long-term behavior change requires consistency and commitment from the owner beyond the training period.
11. Reviews, Feedback & Reputation
Hunter Canine, LLC values honest feedback and strives to ensure that every client’s experience is positive and productive. We encourage open, direct communication and view it as a critical part of successful training relationships.
If at any point you are dissatisfied or have questions about your dog’s progress or experience, you agree to first communicate those concerns directly with your assigned trainer or a Hunter Canine, LLC representative. This ensures that we have the opportunity to clarify, resolve, or make necessary adjustments in a timely manner.
By enrolling in our services, you expressly agree not to publish or post negative reviews, ratings, or public commentary without first having made a good-faith effort to communicate and resolve your concerns with us privately.
This includes, but is not limited to, dissatisfaction arising from:
- Misunderstandings that were not discussed with your trainer
- Incomplete results due to early termination of training or failure to follow instructions
- Situations in which Hunter Canine, LLC performed services as agreed but the outcome did not meet expectations for reasons not directly attributable to our conduct
Failure to adhere to this communication process may be considered a breach of these Terms and may result in further action, including legal remedies, if defamatory or misleading information is published.
12. Severability
If any portion of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
By enrolling in any Hunter Canine, LLC training program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
